This is the original ‘Alice in Wonderland’ film from 1903, restored by the British Film Institute.

It’s a silent film, has obviously become pretty damaged over time, and is equal parts clunk and Red Wine nightmare.

However what are the odds it still makes more sense than the Tim Burton 3D film being released 107 years later? Yes, I realize you got Johnny Depp to star in your movie, again, and yes, I enjoy his performances just as much as the next person.

But when did the Mad Hatter become the central character of the frigging ‘Alice’ adventures anyhoo?!?! The actors serve the story, Timothy, not the other way round, right!

Enjoy. I’m just gonna go look for a stable to park my high horse.
